The inside story on indoor pollution

Over the past several decades, our exposure to indoor air pollutants is believed to have increased due to a variety of factors, including the construction of more tightly sealed buildings, Reduced ventilation rates to save energy, the use of synthetic building materials and furnishings, And the use of chemically formulated personal care products, pesticides and household cleaners.

Most pollutants are so small (about half the size of a sharp pencil point) that standard throwaway air filters trap only 15 percent of the pollutant particles. In fact, the particles you see in a beam of afternoon sunlight streaming through your window only represents about one percent of the airborne contaminants, most of which are invisible to the naked eye.

The effects of indoor air pollution (or what has been termed as Sick Building Syndrome) can be costly in the work place. Sick Building Syndrome is a term now used to express a wide range of symptoms they believe can be attributed to the building itself. Workers typically implicate the workplace environment because their symptoms are alleviated when they leave the office.

The Goodsphere air revitalizing system is an all-in-one air purifier, air humidifier, air freshener, and ionizer.
Symptoms include headaches, dizziness, sinus congestion, itchy or watery eyes, scratchy throats nausea, lethargy, and an inability to concentrate. Poorly managed indoor air pollution can also lead to respiratory infections and can aggravate symptoms associated with allergies and asthma. Symptoms, such as those listed above, can negatively and greatly impact the work performance of employees and has led to increased absenteeism. In the U.S alone, it has been estimated that contaminated indoor air results in medical costs of about $1 billion a year and costs employers approximately $60 billion a year in employee sick leave and lost production.

Fortunately, indoor air quality can be greatly improved by the use of proper indoor air management systems, which trap and remove the pollutants that build up in the air. Goodsphere’s air revitalizing system is an all-in-one air purifier, air humidifier, air freshener and ionizer. The unit can cover an area of up to 150 sq.m. and uses a minimal electrical consumption of 70 watts. It emits three million negative ions per cubic cm per hour.

Goodsphere only uses botanical essences that are 100 percent biodegradable and contain antibacterial and antifungal properties that bind unpleasant odors and pollutants while purifying the air with active ingredients. Goodsphere Essences has been thoroughly tested and has been certified non-hazardous by an independent laboratory in UK and tested for its bacterial and antifungal properties by PSB Corporation, an independent test laboratory in Singapore (www.psbcorp.com)
