FAQ

Q. How does it work as juicer?
A. Matstone juicing parts include the PUSHER, DRUM, FEED TUBE, AUGER, JUICING SCREEN, DRUM CAP, JUICING NOZZLE, CONTAINERS and SIEVE. When you put the materials in the feed tube and push them with the PUSHER, they will go directly to the AUGER, screw shaped made of POLYCARBONATE and MELAMINE that rotates at 80 RPM. The JUICING SCREEN is set-up at the end of the auger. When the auger rotates, the fruits and vegetables that are being extracted are crushed against the wall of the juicing screen and in the process the juice is extracted. The juice then goes out of the juice outlet while the pulp goes out of the pulp outlet. The container with the sieve receives the juice while the other container receives the pulp.

For grinding and other functions, the MINCING CONE and MINCING NOZZLE are used. The materials being ground or minced now comes out of the pulp outlet.

Q. How is the Matstone different from blenders?
A. Matstone separates the pulp from the juice while the blender mixes the pulp and the juice. Blender produces blends or smoothies.
Q. How big is the material I can feed into the feed tube?
A. The Matstone feed tube opening size is 1.5 inches diameter. So, for a big sized carrot, cut it into 4 parts vertically for it to fit in the feed tube
Q. Can it extract juice from leafy vegetables such as malunggay?
A. Yes, it can. It can also extract lemon grass juice.
Q. Can it extract coconut milk?
A. Yes, it can extract coconut milk with ease and without the mess as compared to extracting it by hands
Q. Is it difficult to clean?
A. No, it is not. Matstone is very convenient to use and clean. There are only eight pieces of parts to be cleaned. All of these can be washed in minutes. The Matstone Multi-Purpose Juice Extractor comes with a cleaning brush to facilitate cleaning.
Q. Are the parts of Matstone dishwasher safe
A. No, they are not.
Q.How fast does it extract juice?
A. It is a low speed juicer and runs at 80 revolutions per minute. But it extracts fast because the drum where the materials pass is short.
Q. What is the body made of?
A.The body is made of high-quality plastic
Q. What type of juicer is it?
A. It is auger machine type. It breaks down the tissues of the fruits and vegetables and squeezes them against the juicing screen (It is like CHAMPION Juicer; however, keep in mind that Champion juicer is masticating type, operates at 120 rpm and can not juice leafy vegetables effectively).
Q. What are the differences between Matstone juicer and centrifugal juicer?
A. Matstone juicer operates at low speed while centrifugal juicer operates at very high speed. Further, centrifugal juicers use shredder disk/grater that rotates at the minimum speed of 3500 and is usually very loud.
Q. What are the advantages of Matstone Juicer over centrifugal juicers
A. The following are the comparison between Matstone and centrifugal juicers
  Matstone Centrifugal
1. Leafy vegetables Can extract Can not extract
2. Hard stuffs ( i.e. sugarcane) Can extract Can not extract
3. Cleaning Easy Tedious
4. Sound Quiet Noisy
5. Juice quality High Poor
6. shelf-life of juice Long Short
Q. What is the importance of low speed?
A. If you juice using low speed juicer, you get the optimum vitamins and sensitive enzymes the fruits and vegetables have because of the following reasons:
1. It does not oxidize the juice
2. No heat is created
We all know that vitamins and enzymes are very sensitive to heat, air and light. Low speed juicer minimizes the exposure of vitamins and enzymes to heat and air so minimal damage is created to them.

Q. What are the buttons to press during operation?
A. Matstone has only 3 buttons to press during operation. These are ON, OFF, and REVERSE.
Q. What is the REVERSE button for?
A. There are times that the materials being extracted are highly fibrous or the materials being minced are so tough, the machine might get clogged. In this case, press the OFF button, then press the REVERSE button. The materials that have clogged the machine will now be transported back to the base of the auger. After this, press the ON button again to resume to the normal operation.
Q. What about the numbers 1, 2 and 3 on the drum cap?
A. The numbers determine the tightness of the nozzle to the drum cap. It is always better to set the nozzle on the number 3 position.

Q. How much electricity does it consume?
A. Matstone is very economical it doesn’t consume much. Matstone runs at 1/3 horse power at 160 watts. It is just like plugging-in an ordinary electric fan.
Q. Does Matstone have warranty?
A. Matstone has 5-year and 2-year warranty on motor and parts, respectively. This is how durable the Matstone is!
Q. Where is the service center, in case there is a problem with the unit?
A. You may come here at our office and we will inspect your unit.
Q. What can I do with the pulp?
